Our award winning app Health Help Now
Our Communications and Engagement team has recently collected three awards, recognising the innovative services we provide our customers.
Our web app, Health Help Now, won Best Website in the Association for Healthcare Communications and Marketing (AHCM) Communicating Healthcare Awards 2014.
These national awards are the only ones specifically recognising excellence in NHS communications, marketing and engagement. Health Help Now was one of four in its category shortlisted by the panel of judges, which was made up of industry experts.
The following day the web app also won a silver award in the Chartered Institute for Public Relations regional PRide awards for Best Use of Digital.
Partner for Communications and Engagement Glynis Alexander said: "We are extremely proud to have won these awards which are highly coveted. They demonstrate that our innovation and creativity is among the best in the country."
Health Help Now, developed in-house by the Communications and Engagement Team, is an innovative solution to the perennial problem of people attending A&E for minor problems. An easy-to-use web app, it guides users to the most appropriate treatment for them, using a simple decision tree to sort through large amounts of complex data.
Work is underway to launch Health Help Now across East Surrey, which will also incorporate sister site Right Care Right Now, which is currently available across Crawley, Horsham and mid Sussex.
